Multicolored gravy boat
Multicolored gravy boat
No, not an actual boat, no, a gravy boat or sauce boat with attached stand. Used back in the days of European royalty so you wouldn’t spill the sauce all over the table cloth, mmh, I actually really need one.
The multicolored florals on the white base are stylized with a beautiful gold trim.
Made in France, in the - well known for their porcelain fabrication - region of Limoges, located about 400 kilometers south from Paris. The mark has a green T&V LIMOGES stamp, which tells us it was made in the Tressemanes & Vogt factory. But the second mark, the blue swam with the RAYNAUD & CO marking shows us the item was made during the period when Raynaud took over the T&V factory; 1919 - 1928.
